来自埃及、塞内加尔、印度、泰国和中美洲的五个玫瑰茄品系,从开花至过熟阶段萼片均测定其柠檬酸、木槿酸、苹果酸和酒石酸等有机酸。所有品系有机酸的含量都随着萼片的发育升高到干重的60—70%,萼片成熟后很快就降低。最多的有机酸是柠檬酸与木槿酸。埃及品系3O天后有机酸浓度达最高,而印度、塞内加尔、泰国和中美洲品系达此阶段各为40—50天、45天和45—50天。
Five Roselle lines from Egypt, Senegal, India, Thailand and Central America measured their organic acids such as citric acid, hibiscus acid, malic acid and tartaric acid from the flowering to the over-ripe sepals. The content of organic acids in all strains increased to 60-70% of dry weight with the development of sepals, and the sepals rapidly decreased after maturation. The most organic acids are citric acid and hibiscus acid. The Egyptian strain had the highest organic acid concentration after 30 days, while the strains of India, Senegal, Thailand and Central America reached 40-50 days, 45 days and 45-50 days each.
