At present, the students enrolled in technical schools are mainly those who had poor academic performance and performance in the past and some even gave up “poor students” in primary schools. It is generally accepted that these “poor students” have many weaknesses in “knowing what they want to do”, such as their unclear purpose of learning, their extreme demeanor and mood swings, and so on. However, in normal teaching, we find that they are not as widely accepted as others. On the contrary, they sometimes perform quite well. The author mainly elaborates on the experience of discovering students’ potential in music teaching.
