June 19-21 At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vietnamese State President Zhang Jinchuang paid a state visit to China and the two countries signed the “Sino-Vietnamese Joint Statement.” In the statement, the leaders of the two countries, apart from reaching a consensus on deepening the all-round strategic cooperation and the international and regional issues of common concern, also agreed to strengthen the strategic coordination of economic development between the two countries and pay close attention to the implementation of the “Five-Year Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Vietnam 2012-2016”
