油橄榄原产欧洲地中海沿岸地区,19世纪初引种到美洲、大洋洲和亚洲。解放前我国台湾、四川、云南曾有少量引种,但引种栽培最早,树龄最大的也许要算生长在云南德钦县燕门乡茨中村的一株油橄榄树。这株树现已高7.8米,胸径25厘米,基部和树干高1.2米处各生有两个“树瘤”,基部“树瘤”中心处已出现腐朽。据当地老年人说,这株油橄榄树是修建茨中天主教堂时,法国天主传教人士从国外引进栽植的,与茨中教堂同龄。茨中教堂始建于1907年,到现在已有83年的历史了。 Olive originated in the Mediterranean region of Europe, the early 19th century introduced to the Americas, Oceania and Asia. Before the liberation of China’s Taiwan, Sichuan, Yunnan had a small amount of introduction, but the introduction and cultivation of the earliest, perhaps the oldest growing in yanqin County, Yunnan Yanzhong Township, an olive tree. The tree is now 7.8 meters high and has a diameter at breast height of 25 centimeters. There are two “tree neoplasms” each at its base and 1.2 meters above its trunk, and decay has taken place at the base of the “tree nests”. According to the local elderly, the olive tree was the plantation of the Roman Catholic Church in Croatia. French Catholic missionaries were introduced from abroad and of the same age as the Church of the Middle Ages. The Czzzac Church was founded in 1907 and has now been 83 years old.
