Feng Menglong (1574-1646), a writer from the Ming Dynasty, compiled a collection of epitaphs entitled “Yu Shiming’s Remarks,” “Warning Words,” and “Awakening Words” (abbreviated as “three words”). There are 40 articles in each episode of “Three Words”, a total of 120 articles. The author gives each article a tidy look in the form of a chapter back novel, and the text has also been modified. Among them, the Song and Yuan dialects account for about one-third of the total, and about two-thirds of the books are written in the Ming Dynasty. Among them, there may also be Feng’s creation. The content of the “three words” is complex and the subject matter is extensive. There are people’s lives, marriage and love, political struggles, prison litigation cases, friendship and communication, and historical stories. Among them, outstanding works celebrated the people’s good moral character and struggle spirit, exposed the feudal rulers’ corruption and brutality, and reflected the feudal society’s worldly attitude. but
