Since then, the company has been fallen into a whirlpool of equities dispute and top management upheaval. To June of 2005, real controllers of the company were changed several times. Behind the scene, there are various allures, sales decline becomes an overt reason for changing the leadership each time. In the three years after Yang Rong left the company, the top leader changed three times. With the change of lop leaders, the key departments in the company inevitably undergo an unstable situation of staffing, its sales channel was hit most. The general manager of the distribution company of Brilliance Auto changed four times, the influence of leadership replacement is huge and causes a top-to-down upheaval which resulted in poorer and poorer sales. According to the finance report of the company, its profit decreased from 936 million yuan in 2003 to 48.6 million yuan in 2004.Even loss incurred in the first half of 2005 and deficit was as high as 299 million yuan. In the Chinese automobile market, the demand turned from sky-rocketing to rational growth in 2004 and 2005. There are more than one company which suffered from sales declining, profit decreasing or even deficit. But only Brilliance Auto suffered from both sales and profit sharp decline as well as negative news reports. In a series of leaders and staff replacement, contradictions, such as professional's philosophy and thinking of state-owned enterprises, enterprise benefit and local government benefit, and system reform and top official's will, all are mixed up.
