The application of split heat pipe heat exchanger in blast furnace and the problems to be considered when designing this heat exchanger are introduced. The application results of No.2 blast furnace in Baosteel indicate that it is technically feasible and economically efficient to utilize the waste heat from the exhaust of the blast furnace to preheat the combustion air and gas of its own kiln at the same time.
