Polymeric material Polyoxymethylene, especially when it is properly filled and modified, has excellent frictional and fretting properties. More than 20 formulations were evaluated on a rocking bench tester. The three-layered composite formed by this plastic rolling on the steel back of a sintered copper mesh is named SF-2.
