China’s government has recently given top priority to its railway traffic. A tremendous sum of 245 billion RMB yuan has been put aside for building new railways and reinforcing the existent trunk lines so as to form a relatively reasonable railway network in China. So far, China’s railway sector has 3.4m employees, 56 700km track, 6 800 stations and 458 container stations including 54 super container hubs with key ones in Xian, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shanghai.
