语言是文化的载体,是文化的符号。文化与语言关系密切,这一点不言而喻,文化教学与语言教学本是相辅相成、不可分割。但目前大学英语课堂的教学现状不尽如人意:在具体教学活动中,文化教学常常不被给予应有的重视。致使在无语法、词汇等障碍的情况下,跨文化交际中学生无法准确表达意图和理解思想,甚至形成文化冲突。为真正实现无障碍沟通,教师应在课堂教学中加强对语言的文化背景介绍和文化知识的渗透。本文对大学英语文化教学的改进方面提出了一些粗浅建议。
Language is the carrier of culture and the symbol of culture. It is self-evident that culture and language are closely related. Culture teaching and language teaching are complementary and indivisible. However, the current situation of college English classroom teaching is not satisfactory: In specific teaching activities, cultural teaching is often not given due attention. As a result, in the absence of obstacles such as grammar and vocabulary, students in intercultural communication can not accurately express their intentions and understand their thoughts, or even form cultural conflicts. In order to truly achieve barrier-free communication, teachers should enhance the introduction of cultural background and the penetration of cultural knowledge in classroom teaching. This article puts forward some superficial suggestions on the improvement of college English culture teaching.
