认定和实现老年人的社会价值，必须置之于社会实践。社会实践，不仅是指经济发展，而且也包括文化方面的内容。中国传统社会的家国合一、重视伦理和直觉思维的文化特征，构建了对老年人的需求，并形成了老年人社会价值的层次性、伦理性、制度性和主导性的特征。由于中国传统社会的官本位和伦理本位，政府在实现老年人社会价值中具有特殊的作用。对中国人口老龄化过程中的老年人社会价值，本文提出了注意文化作用、强调政府功能和突出老年人精神价值的思考。
To recognize and realize the social value of the elderly must be placed in social practice. Social practice refers not only to economic development but also to cultural aspects. The traditional unity of the family in traditional Chinese society places great importance on the cultural characteristics of ethical and intuitive thinking, building the needs of the elderly and forming the hierarchical, ethical, institutional and dominant characteristics of the social values of the elderly. Due to its official standard and ethical standard in traditional Chinese society, the government has a special role in realizing the social value of the elderly. For the social value of the elderly in the process of population aging in China, this paper puts forward the thinking of paying attention to the cultural function, emphasizing the government function and highlighting the spiritual value of the elderly.
