《九年义务教育全日制初中生物教学大纲》在“教学目的要求”中要求“学生在具有观察、实验和思维能力的同时,培养不断获取和运用生物学知识的自学能力”。阅读是获取知识的重要途径,阅读能力是学生自学能力的一个重要方面。如同其他能力一样,阅读能力不是自然产生的,而靠我们去训练和培养。阅读能力对于学生不但在现阶段有实际意义,而且对以后的深造及职后教育有重要意义。阅读能力的培养是语文教学的任务之一,因而语文课是培养阅读能力的“主渠道”,但这并不意味着生物教学没有培养阅读能力的任务。恰恰相反,生物学有它自身的学科体系和知识结构,需要相应的阅读方法和阅读习惯。这就要求我们在教学中,既重视基础知识的教学,基本技能的培养,也重视阅读能力的培养。

The cultivation of reading ability is one of the tasks of Chinese teaching. Therefore, the language class is the “main channel” for developing reading ability. However, this does not mean that biology teaching does not have the task of cultivating reading ability. On the contrary, biology has its own disciplinary system and knowledge structure, and it requires corresponding reading methods and reading habits. This requires us to pay attention to the teaching of basic knowledge, the cultivation of basic skills, and the cultivation of reading ability.
