Objective: To investigate the changes and clinical significance of platelet membrane glycoprotein CD61, CD62P and platelet parameters PLT, MPV and PDW in children with Kawasaki disease. Methods: Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of CD61 and CD62P on platelets in 50 patients with Kawasaki disease. The platelet parameters were measured by automatic hematology analyzer and compared with the control group. Results: The levels of platelet CD61, CD62P, PLT and MPV in children with Kawasaki disease were significantly higher than those in normal controls (P <0.01). Compared with non-coronary artery disease patients, the levels of CD61 and CD62P (P <0.01 or P <0.05). There was a significant positive correlation between platelet CD61, CD62P and MPV and PLT (all P <0.01) and CD61 and CD62P (P <0.01). Conclusion: Platelet activation is involved in the pathological process of Kawasaki disease, and CD61 and CD62P have a certain relationship with coronary artery lesions of Kawasaki disease.
