The structure and working principle of the reflection-scattering ratio optical fiber sensor for measuring the surface roughness are discussed. Introduced it has the anti-interference ability, high accuracy, repeatability, measurable small area and the bottom of the hole and other shaped surface characteristics. The measured results are given, and the various factors that influence the measurement are analyzed and discussed
