Mr. Liang Zhao Tao is a pioneer in Chinese anthropology. After the “Cultural Revolution” was over, he started his own education and went through arduous efforts to rebuild the Department of Anthropology at Sun Yat-sen University, covering four branches: archeology, ethnology, linguistics and physical anthropology. Mr. Liang advocated the establishment of China’s own anthropology, insisted that academic research should serve the community, serve the reality and serve the people. Since the restoration of anthropology in 1980, Mr. Leung has been standing at the forefront of teaching and research. His rigorous academic requirements and selfless care in life have benefited all his disciples for a long time and have nurtured a large number of backbone members for the Chinese social science community power. Mr. Leong was a bluff to open the mountains and forests. When he was alive, the land of anthropology was only a weed, leaving people the whole garden when he left.
