在美丽的云南,有许多鲜为人知的珍贵野生花卉,具有极高的利用价值,有待开发。雅俗共赏的假朝天罐就是其中之一.假朝天罐(O.crinita Benth.ex C.B.Clarke),听起来很有意思吧?这个名字的由来还得从其姐妹朝天罐说起。朝天罐因其果实形似开口朝天的坛、罐、瓶而得名,过去人们一直用 O.crinita Benth.ex C.B.Clarke 作为其拉丁学名,1982年著名的植物学家吴征镒和陈介根据叶、花萼的毛被和萼片的形态及地理分布的不同,将朝天罐的拉丁学名命为 O.opipara C.Y.Wu et C.Chen,而将 O.crinita Benth.ex C.B.Clarke 更名为假朝天罐,后者分布于云南、贵州、四川、西姣等地.
