1986～1990年在唐村柿子品种调查的基础上，于1996年在全县范围内又进行了1次调查．经整理共有12个品种类型（其中10个为栽培种，2个为野生种），在群众历代选择下形成了以鲜食品种千岛无核柿和加工品种冬柿类型为主栽品种的农家地方品种群，并进行基地造林、选优良单株、建立采穗圃等工作。
