拉脱维亚自由纪念碑自由纪念碑(Freedom Monument)落建在拉脱维亚里加(Riga)市,以纪念在拉脱维亚独立战争(1918—1920)中牺牲的勇敢士兵。这块用铜和花岗岩雕琢而成的纪念碑高42米,建成于1935年,是拉脱维亚主权、自由、独立的重要象征,同时也是里加市公共集会和官方仪式的重要场所。纪念碑的设计者是卡莱斯?扎莱(KarlisZale)和特伍泽麦尔?安?布瑞威拜(Tevzemel un Brivibai),揭幕日期是1935年11月18日。
Freedom Monument, Latvia The Freedom Monument was built in the city of Riga, Latvia, in honor of the brave soldiers who died in the Latvian War of Independence (1918-1920). The 42-meter-high monument, carved from copper and granite, was built in 1935 as an important symbol of Latvia’s sovereignty, freedom and independence. It is also an important venue for public rallies and official rituals in Riga. The monuments were designed by Karlis Zale and Tevzemel un Brivibai on November 18, 1935.
