What should be done in Chapter 2 If you fully reflect on the past, it is easy to see that 1929 is destined to be an unforgettable year. This is not because Mr. Hoover was soon elected as the president of the United States and hostile to the market. Moreover, at least part of his resistance to the market was developed after the fact. Nor is it because the wise men assert that the depression will be postponed. No one, smart or stupid, knew when or at what point the recession would occur or was delayed.
