全省工业劳动模范代表同志们:全省第一届工业劳动模范代表会议现在开幕了,这是湖南历史上工人阶级空前第一次的群英会,在今後建设工业化的新湖南的巨大工作中将起重大的作用。我代表湖南省人民政府与大会筹委会,祝贺大会的胜利成功!向光荣的劳模同志们致最崇高的敬礼!这次会议的主要目的,是要表扬湖南工业生产中的劳动模范,交流生产经验,发挥工人阶级的积极性与创造性,进一步展开爱国主义生产竞赛运动,以达到提高劳动生产率与工作效能,贯彻依靠工人群众,搞好生产的方针。解放后湖南各种工矿交通企业,在依靠与发动工人群众,克服困难,恢复生产的方针下,已获得了很大的成绩,一般的都完成了生产任务,有色金属管理局、铁路局与五大煤矿、裕湘、安江纺纱厂等都超额完成了一九五○年的任务,在生产竞赛运动中出现了大批劳模,创造了典型。例如铁路王永祥铁工班与邵阳光明电灯公司及其他模范厂矿,在整个运动中都起了带头作用;私营光明电灯公司工会干部面向生产,深入群众,从一九四九年十一月超到现在止,连续进行了十一次生产竞赛,不仅挽救了一个破 Representatives of Industrial Labor Demonstrators in the Province: The First Industrial Labor Model Representative Conference in the Province is now opening.
