假定SCSI系统为一个总线型的通信局域网，从数据通信的角度来分析并行SCSI总线的工作原理和过程。认为SCSI系统的通信方式是线路交换，因而分线路建立、信息传输和线路拆除三个阶段对SCSI的通信过程进行阐述。这样用易于理解的数据通信方法清楚地说明了复杂的SCSI总践活动过程。
Assume that the SCSI system is a bus-type communication LAN, from the perspective of data communications to analyze the working principle and process of parallel SCSI bus. It is considered that the communication mode of SCSI system is line exchange, so the communication process of SCSI is described in three stages of sub-line establishment, information transmission and line dismantling. This clearly illustrates the complex SCSI activity activities with easy-to-understand data communication methods.
