我国煤矿在安全距离控制方面一直采用人工收尺的方法,由于人工收尺存在不及时、误差大等问题,造成探放水(气)安全距离控制不准,造成突水(气),致使大量的人员伤亡和财产损失;在巷道贯通时,由于距离控制不及时,不准确,也容易因为误贯通,形成伤亡事故。安全距离监控系统,实现对距离的24小时的不间断监控,能够准确、及时测量安全距离,并实现报警警示、强行断电,避免因为安全距离控制不严格造成的各类伤亡事故,具有很好的推广价值。
