Should the strategy be focused on the future? Is the strategic goal based on forecasting the future? Eric D. Beinhocker, senior consultant at McKinsey & Co., in his new book “The Origin of Wealth: The Progress, Complexity, and Restructuring of Economics” (The Origin In Wealth: Evolution, Complexity, and the Radical Remaking of Economics, Microsoft’s example tells us that strategy is a combination of boxing, a dynamic, divergent system, and strategy should be vigilant and capable of affecting all parties Generate countermeasures at any time. When setting up Microsoft, Gates had a top goal is to let Microsoft become the leader of PC software, but he did not put his treasure on a bet, but to take different strategies for different threats and different opponents. The combination of these strategies is Microsoft’s strategy. Microsoft did not predict the future, but created the future.
