Objective To investigate the effect of oxygen inhalation with different supine position on oxygen therapy in patients with coal worker’s pneumoconiosis (CWP) complicated with pulmonary infection. Methods A total of 192 patients with CWP complicated pulmonary infection who had asthma, chest tightness, cough, expectoration and dyspnea were randomly divided into control group and observation group. Supine and prone position were taken for 5 days and 8 days a day for observation. Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and changes in vital signs. Results There was no significant difference in the vital signs of patients in different supine positions (P> 0.05). The SpO2 of supine patients was significantly higher than that in supine patients (P <0.05). Conclusions The effect of sucking oxygen in the prone position is obviously better than that in the supine position. The prone position of oxygen inhalation should be taken in patients with CWP complicated with pulmonary infection to improve the effect of oxygen therapy.
