Teachers find it difficult to find a breakthrough in English reading teaching during their daily teaching. The task-based teaching mode is a teaching strategy to emphasize the importance of English reading teaching after the new curriculum standard teaching reform. It can make the English reading classroom take the task as the main line, improve students’ English reading efficiency, find and solve problems in the task . However, the implementation of task-based teaching in junior high school English reading class has serious defects in teaching.
