素描在广义上来讲是单色绘画,狭义上讲是美术过程中的美术技巧、美术习惯绘画训练过程,目前我国很多的美术院校都把素描当做美术基础课程,但在课堂上不断重复的单色素描训练,影响了学生对色彩的认知。因此,往往在进行色彩绘画时容易陷入造型单色的现象。想要真正使学生体会到美术的魅力,发掘学生艺术潜能,单纯的素描“基础”已不在适用,不断创新改革,提升色彩的地位迫在眉睫。
