松香是一种天然树脂,在轻重工业、国防工业和医药工业上有着广泛的用途,是云南省的主要出口物资之一。地处滇南的景谷县,是云南出口松香最多的县。全县有森林面积700多万亩,人均近30亩。其中可供采脂的思茅松有440多万亩。这个县从1972年开始发展松香生产,1976年成为千吨松香县,1980年松香生产突破两千吨大关,1981年生产松香2,952吨,十年共生产松香近万吨,松节油2,986吨。其中出口松香7,232吨,松节油1,291吨。被誉为松香之乡,荣获林业部嘉奖。多年来,景谷县为发挥松香生产的优势,把松香生产作为全县的一项骨干副业来抓,县、社都有一名领导同志分管。县林业
