With the aid of the finite element method (FEM) of temperature field-phase transformation-stress and strain, the computer simulation of the quenching process of the complex shape workpiece was realized. The simulation results show the temperature distribution, the distribution of the tissue, the distribution of stress, the strain status and the cooling curve at any position of the workpiece visually at any moment, providing the user with tools for thoroughly analyzing and studying the quenching process by the virtual reality method. This article lists several examples of practical applications, computer simulation will become an important part of the virtual manufacturing technology
