[Journal of the American Medical Association October 1985] Benign spontaneous blepharospasm is a disease that is good for middle-aged adults and becomes functional blind as it causes uncontrollable eyelid closure. In a collaborative study, Scott AB, MD, of San Francisco, USA, treated 442 patients with botulinum toxin and reportedly more than 90% effective.
