《左传》与周礼有着天然的联系,其中涉及的礼可谓包罗万象,尽管礼的分类不一,内容各异,有兴有废,有去有留,但其精神内涵却得以阐发,并充分地体现在时人对于礼或者非礼行为的褒贬评价中。而人们对遵礼与非礼行为的褒贬主要集中在行礼过程中的行为是敬还是不敬,不论是君臣之间,还是父子、夫妇之间,在处理与对方的关系时都要心存“敬”——一种恭敬和尊重的态度,只有涵敬的礼才是有意义的。“敬”既是一种态度,也是一种精神。没有恭敬的态度,不仅礼难以实现,很多事情都难以办成。不只在春秋时期,当今社会同样需要这种精神与态度。
