分子內旋轉是分子內部運動的一种形式,它和分子的內部結構以及它們的許多重要性質密切地相關联着。例如分子內旋轉異構体的數目、空間排佈和相对存在量,分子的電偶矩、旋光度、紅外光譜、联合散射光譜和熱力学函數,以及橡膠類分子的粘度和彈性等,都必須在內旋轉的理論基礎上才能得到完善的解釋;当然这些性質的測定,也反过來幫助我們对分子內旋轉得到透徹的了解。我国正在進行社会主義建設,合成具有这些或那些特別性能的化合物的要求愈來愈迫切,為要出色地完成这种任務,必須弄清楚物質結構和它們的性質間的關係,而分子內旋轉問題,正是这一科学領域中的一個重要組成部分;因此这方面的研究工作,無論在理論上和实用上,都具有它一定的重要意義。

The demand for the compounding of compounds with these or those special properties is becoming more and more urgent in our country undergoing socialist construction. To accomplish this task well, we must understand the relationship between the structure of matter and their nature, and the problem of intramolecular rotation Is an important part of this scientific field. Therefore, the research work in this field has its own significance both in theory and in practice.
