在我国诸多古代石窟中,佛像身首分离现象并不罕见,令人痛心疾首。20世纪70年代开始,旅居纽约的美籍华人陈哲敬历时30余年,在国际拍卖市场搜集了数以百计的佛首,其中一尊佛首在龙门石窟找到佛身,其余则巡回展览并出版相关画册,海内外评论家纷纷为其撰文,共鸣互动,一时形成佛艺回归“浪潮”。
In many ancient Chinese grottoes, the phenomenon of segregation of the head of Buddha is not uncommon, it is a matter of great pain. Since the 1970s, Chinese-American Chen Zhejing, who has been living in New York City for more than 30 years, has collected hundreds of heads of Buddha at the international auction market. One of the first buddhist priests found the Buddha body at the Longmen Grottoes while the others toured the exhibition and published related catalogs At home and abroad, critics have written for each of them, resonating with each other and forming a return to Buddhism for a time.
