档案事业的基本矛盾：主要表现为社会的经济、政治、文化活动与档案、档案工作的矛盾。档案事业的基本性质：一定社会档案事业的基本性质是由其所从属的社会制度和国家政权以及所从事的经济、政治、文化活动的性质决定的。档案事业的基本性质，应视为政治性、专业性、服务性的工作。档案事业的基本规律：档案和档案事业必须适合社会的经济、政治、文化的性质和发展需要的规律；档案的物质载体、管理技术与方法、生存与寿命必须适合自然物质材料、自然科学技术，自然环境发展变化的规律；档案事业管理必须适合档案事业发展需要的规律。档案工作者的思维方式：档案工作者应具有理论思维、逻辑思维、系统结构思维、宏观微观思维、创新思维等几种基本思维方式。
