科学实验证明,温度高于绝对零度(-273.2℃)的一切物体都是红外线辐射源。物体温度愈高,最大辐射波长愈短,对生物组织的作用愈强。物体温度低于500℃时仅辐射红外线,随着温度升高,才出现可见光,其辐射波长变短,并呈现出从暗红、鲜红,黄以至逐渐变白的颜色。这时温度约在1500℃以上。冶金企业的冶炼炉、加热炉等热源工作部件,主要散发红外线。虽然熔炼炉温度在1200℃以上时,热源中已逐渐有紫外线出现,但红外线仍占光辐射的绝大部分。随着科学技术与生产的发展,要求热源温度愈高,光辐射也愈强。因此,做好人体防护工作极为重要。
