According to China Press and Publication: According to Minonline.com, a U.S. media industry website, the number of readers in most of the top print editions of the magazine has continued to decline over the past six months. However, their digital version readership in the tablet, ebook and smartphone categories is up 24%. These figures are from the latest research report from GfK MRI Market Research Corporation. In an assessment of the 190 magazine readership, the company found that the total number of print readership dropped an average of 1.7%. The vast majority of magazines (63%) find their readership diminished. GfK claims 41% of the journals are up or down less than 5%. This is the first time that GfK MRI has launched two consecutive studies on the digital version. Achievements in both print and digital versions are made up of estimates, including the number of copies printed, the number of readers, and the number of copies sold in single-copy.
