傅抱石(1904～1965),原名长生,1917年改名瑞麟,江西省南昌市人,祖籍江西新喻(今新余)县。父母原皆贫雇农,后流落南昌,以修补雨伞为业,生活十分贫苦。1911年,抱石7岁时入私塾附读《四书》、《五经》,11岁因交不起学费而停学,不得不到瓷器店当学徒以谋生,并开始自学篆刻和书画艺术。1917年考入江西省第一师范附小,高小四年毕业后升入省立第一师范学校,学习美术
Fu Baoshi (1904 ~ 1965), formerly known as longevity, renamed in 1917 Ruilin, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, native ancestral Jiangxi (now Xinyu County).
