在２０００年１０月４日，迈拓（Ｍａｘｏｔｒ）公司兼并了著名的硬盘厂商昆腾（Ｑｕａｎｔｕｍ）公司硬盘事业部，这使迈拓成了目前世界上最大的硬盘制造商。凭着原昆腾在ＳＣＳＩ技术上优势及迈拓领先的ＩＤＥ技术，相信这两家公司合并后的新迈拓公司将具有更强大的综合硬盘制造实力。在这次合并后，Ｍａｘｔｕｒ公司于日前推出其７２００转新产品－金钻六代（ＤｉａｍｏｎｄＭａｘ Ｐｌｕｓ ６０）硬盘。 这款新产品的性能到底如何呢？我们选用金钻六代６０Ｇ以及２０Ｇ容量硬盘进行测试，因为６０Ｇ容量硬盘是金钻六代的最新产品，而２０Ｇ容量的硬盘更是现在市场上的主流产品。另外，我们选择了星钻一代来跟金钻六代作测试对比，看金钻六代在性能上是否比前期产品有所“突飞猛进”！
On October 4, 2000, Maxotr merged with the hard disk division of Quantum, a maker of hard disk drives, making Maxtor the world’s largest hard drive manufacturer. After this merger, Maxtur Company recently introduced its 7200 new product - DiamondMax Plus 60 hard drive. What is the performance of this new product? We use Diamond Six generations of 60G and 20G capacity hard drive for testing, because the 60G hard drive capacity is the latest generation of six diamonds, and 20G capacity hard drive is now the mainstream products on the market. In addition, we have chosen a generation of diamonds to compare with the diamond six generations of tests to see the performance of six generations of diamonds than the previous product has been “by leaps and bounds!”
