Engels said: “The great class, just like the great nation, is better learned from the mistakes it has made, no matter where it is learned.” The unprecedented catastrophe that took place in China in the 1960s and 1970s - The “Cultural Revolution” has ended more than 20 years ago. Our Party and our country have been standing again under the guidance of the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee and a thriving ZTE situation has emerged. However, it is very, very valuable, that numerous deep-seated and painful lessons arising from that catastrophe have been made by countless blood and tears. Our generation and our descendants absolutely have no right to dilute the “Cultural Revolution” and its lessons. At the request of the readers, this magazine presents the preface and preface of the book “Vicissitudes of Ten Years” published by the Central Party School Press, by Ji Xianlin and Ma Shitu. Two famous old scholars, deeply afflicted by the “Cultural Revolution,” used a calm scientific mentality to show us how to deepen our understanding of the tragic and heavy history of great significance. In the text, the two old scholars earnestly hope that our country and people will not dilute and even forget this history. Otherwise, this tragedy of tragedy is likely to be repeated on our own soil.
