Natural Seismic Tomography is a new and economical method of exploration in contrast to the traditional reflection seismic methods. This is due to the fact that the observations needed for natural seismic tomography come directly from natural microseismic events that occur below the study area, whereas the reflected earthquakes require artificial blasting on the surface of the study area. Therefore, this work is a tentative study on the application of natural seismic tomography in the deep structure of about 100 km2 in an oil field in western Qaidam Basin. The initial results of 3289 P waves arriving at 626 seismic events are in good agreement with the large structures known in the study area. A very significant feature of this model is the observation of a NW strike. In addition, the distribution of microseismicity is also consistent with the location of the active fault zone in the study area.
