By comparing the initials of “Dongguk rhyme” 23 with those of the traditional Middle Chinese 36, this paper studies the initials of Korean kanji and the initials of Middle Chinese to find out the correspondence between the two. The study found that although both Korean and Chinese belong to different language families, Korean phonetic initials and Middle Chinese initial consonants have the following characteristics in eight pronunciation positions: teeth, tongue, lip, teeth, throat, half tongue, half tooth and others There is a more regular correspondence. This correspondence not only provides a circumstantial evidence for the study of Middle Chinese phonology, but also provides a valuable reference for deriving Korean Chinese phonetic sounds based on Chinese pronunciation.
