In the desert areas of northwestern China, drought and heat are major disasters, which have a great impact on the growth of plants. Plants grown under this dry and hot ecological environment have different morphological and physiological characteristics. This paper discussed the characteristics of drought resistance of several main sand-fixation tree species in Minqin area of Gansu from the perspectives of ecology and physiology, in order to provide a scientific basis for selecting sand-fixing tree species suitable for drought-resistant and heat-resisting in sand area.
