In order to strengthen academic exchange in the field of corn science and technology in Asia and promote scientific and technological progress, the 9th Asian Corn Conference organized by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) co-organized by Institute of Crop Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences September 5 to September 9 in Beijing, China. Lu Xiao-ping, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Zhang Lijian, vice president of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Kevin Pixley, director of the CIMMYT tropical ecosystem project attended the conference.
