Objective To investigate the influence of cancer-related fatigue on the quality of life in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and to study the changes of cellular immune function in patients with cancer-related fatigue. Methods The cancer-related fatigue and quality of life in 120 patients with advanced NSCLC from January to December in 2009 were assessed. The immunological indexes of all the patients were analyzed statistically. Results Of the 120 patients, 109 cases were found to have fatigue, the incidence was 90.83%, of which 18 cases were mild fatigue, accounting for 16.51%, 64 cases were moderate fatigue, accounting for 58.72%, 27 cases were severe fatigue, accounting for 24.77%; The relationship between fatigue and quality of life (QOL) was negatively correlated. The degree of fatigue was related to the low level of cellular immunity, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Cancer-related fatigue in patients with advanced NSCLC have a higher incidence, affecting the quality of life of patients; low level of cellular immunity to a certain extent, affect the level of fatigue.
