宋代巴蜀地区灿烂宏富的石窟造像成就了中国石窟艺术继魏晋南北朝和隋唐之后的最后辉煌。重庆涞滩二佛寺禅宗造像亦是其中一颗璀璨的明星,具有杰出的艺术创造和独特的艺术精神。重庆涞滩二佛寺禅宗造像,位于今重庆市合川区涞滩古镇鹫峰山二佛寺下殿内。造像大致始建于唐,兴盛于宋,距今已有一千多年的历史。涞滩二佛寺禅宗造像,分布在北、西、南呈三面抱合状的崖壁上,共有42组造像,总数达1700余尊,是中国石窟艺术中不可多得的禅宗造像精华。著名学者、大足石刻研究会原会长郭相颖先生曾誉之为“中国第一禅宗道场”。至今,香火鼎盛。
The splendid Hongfu statues in Bashu in the Song Dynasty made the final glory of the Chinese grottoes after the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties and the Sui and Tang dynasties. Zen Buddhism is also one of the bright stars in Chongqing’s Beibu Buddhist Temple with outstanding artistic creation and unique artistic spirit. The statue of the Buddha in Chongqing Beitan Temple II is located in the lower temple of the Second Buddhist Temple of Jiufeng Mountain, Qunan Ancient Town, Hechuan District, Chongqing Municipality. Originally built in the Tang statues, flourished in the Song, dating back more than a thousand years of history. There are altogether 42 groups of statues with a total of more than 1,700 statues, which are the quintessential Zen statues in the art of Chinese grottoes. Renowned scholar, former president of Dazu Rock Carving Institute Guo Xiang-ying has been praised as “China’s first Zen temple ”. So far, incense heyday.
