● It is not the government that drove GM’s bankruptcy but the market. What the government has done is to make this impact as small as possible and with the shortest possible process. The government is most worried about employment, they want to minimize the impact on employment. Therefore, there is no conflict between free economy and government regulation. The goal of the government, both for capital markets and the real economy, is to regulate and create facilities. In the future, the relationship among the U.S. companies is still based on the triangular relationship between investors, trade unions and management as the dominant form of government. The engagement will not be more generalized. • The big family in the United States still controls 37% of the Fortune 500 companies in the United States today. Traditionally strong consortia will not abandon their focus and move into new areas
