学术界与公众对历史有截然不同的关注焦点与解读方式。在学院之外,公众对历史充满激情,并积极参与到历史的生产、传播与消费中。是什么原因让公众关注历史?职业历史学者在公众的历史意识的形成和构建中发挥着怎样的作用?历史在公众领域是如何产生、传播与共享的?归根结底,谁拥有过去?为回答这一系列问题,本文系统论述了在过去二十五年里,美国、欧洲部分国家、澳大利亚和加拿大的关于公众历史感知的全国性调研,并在此基础上探讨如何通过“中国人与过去”这一研究探索普通中国人的历史感知。
There is a radically different focus of attention and interpretation on the history of academia and the public. Outside the academy, the public is passionate about history and actively participates in the history of production, transmission and consumption. What makes the public concerned about history? What role do professional historians play in the formation and construction of public historical awareness? How does history come into being, spread and share in the public domain? In the final analysis, who owns the past? To answer this question Series of issues, this article systematically discusses the national investigation of public perceptions of history in the past twenty-five years in the United States, parts of Europe, Australia and Canada, and on this basis discusses how to pass the “Chinese and the past” This research explores the historical perception of ordinary Chinese.
