随着我国农业科学技术研究的深入,太阳能育种技术也有了发展。我县为了加速农业发展的步伐,促进农作物增产、抗病、早熟,培育新品种,在市有关部门的支持下,于一九七八年试制了太阳能育种机。太阳能育种机由独立支架、纵横向定位机构、电动机、减速箱、抛物面、脉冲滚筒、机架等组成。抛物面用镜片相嵌,其尺寸为:长80毫米,宽30毫米,厚2毫米。镜片背后用树脂胶与纤维板粘结,以防脱落。抛物面对向太阳时,最大聚焦面宽≯40~50毫米,焦长为800毫米,调节范围:纵向62度,横向360度。滚筒采用16目30~#×0.914铜质编织筛。其传热快、重量轻,并能清洁种子中的泥沙、杂质。滚筒直径为240毫米,转速60转/分。配
