The potential role of physical activity in preventing non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) has not been extensively investigated. Laboratory and clinical studies have shown that physical training can increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin. And improve glucose tolerance, non-diabetic and NIDDM patients can improve blood glucose control and insulin sensitivity after exercise, this effect can continue to stop 72 hours after exercise, in order to understand the relationship between exercise and NIDDM, the authors conducted this study . Patients and Methods A total of 87,253 women aged 34-59 years were prospectively studied in 1980, all of whom excluded diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Investigate the regular intensive exercise and the subsequent occurrence of NIDDM, the relationship between the two.
