[Objective] To investigate the effect of vanadium on cardiovascular system in occupationally exposed population. [Methods] By means of cross-sectional study, the symptoms, blood pressure and electrocardiogram of cardiovascular system of workers exposed to vanadium were analyzed to explore the effect of vanadium on cardiovascular in occupational population. [Results] The detection rate of cardiovascular system symptom in vanadium group was 2.6 times that in control group (OR = 2.60, P <0.05), and there was a positive correlation between the length of vanadate and cardiovascular system (OR = 1.40, P < 0.05). The systolic blood pressure in the group receiving vanadium was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the diastolic blood pressure between the two groups (P> 0.05). The detection rate of hypertension in the vanadium group was not significantly different from that in the control group P> 0.05). ECG abnormalities between the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). [Conclusion] The vanadium compounds can potentially harm the cardiovascular system of occupationally exposed people.
