通过组块能够把更多的信息压缩进短时记忆中去,从而扩大短时记忆的容量。在语块学习过程中,学习者外显的学习方式能够把学习者的注意力有意识地集中到语块上,调动更多的认知资源,对语块进行深度加工,从而使之进入长时记忆之中。学习者通过复述、联系、范畴化、系统化等策略把语块进行组织编码,使之更有意义并和以往的知识经验建立联系。这样,新学习的语块不但会融入学习者既有知识体系,而且留下了更多的信息提取线索,使提取更迅速,有助于提高二语输出的自动化水平。
